“Most New Yorkers were unaffected by the rare earthquake.”

On Friday morning, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit New York City and other northeastern regions. Despite the unusual event, most New Yorkers remained unfazed. As the Woolworth Building’s 27th-story office started to tremble, Medhi Mammadov’s colleagues asked each other if they felt it. Julie Hendricks-Atkins’ coworkers also chirped from their Lower Manhattan workstations. Meanwhile, a man in Greenpoint yelled, “DID ANYONE FEEL THAT?” A woman across the street replied, “What’s going on?” The Brooklynite was right to exclaim that there was an earthquake.
